So much news to catch up on! Earlier this year, we took one big step forward in the restoration of our Aldergrove Volunteer Fire Department 1954 GMC Pumper Truck thanks to the generous support of cousin Dennis, owner of Quiring Trucking & Gravel Sales, the Township of Langley Professional Firefighters Local 4550 Charities, Fountain Tire Aldergrove and Watts Tire Service & Repair.
We are incredibly grateful for those supporting this project, and now we're getting ready to move on to the next stages of getting the '54 back on the road. Some of the tasks include the bits that will need replacing, others that need re-chroming and re-upholstering, advice on restoring the hand-painted graphics and options for paint. A lot of work still to be done, including a gentle bath.
