I came across this nice feature article that was written about Norm Green when he retired from teaching in 1980, so I put together a few other articles including his obituary. I wasn't in Mr. Green's Grade 5 class at Aldergrove Elementary, but I remember he visited student gardens as part of his judging duties for the Aldergrove Agricultural Association Fall Fair. Here is the story that was published in The Place Between:

County Line 1951 - GREEN, Norman & Margaret (Kellett) – written by Connie Petersen for The Place Between Volume 2

Norman & Margaret settled on County Line North in 1951, with Norman becoming principal of County Line School from 1951-1957, when the school was only 4 rooms. When he first arrived in the District, Norman didn't own a car. As he lived only a short distance from the school, he overcame this problem by walking.

Norman was also the organist at St. Dunstan's Anglican Church in Aldergrove for many years, but it was his hobby as a weatherman that brought his name before the public of the Fraser Valley. He started this on his own when he moved to the County Line area, and in 1953 he joined what was then called the Environmental Service. Norman had an excellent memory and could rattle off when we had the coldest winters and warmest summers without reference to his records.

Margaret was very active in the community. She was a member of the Country Line School PTA from 1951 to 1957, and for many years she would come to County Line School to judge the cake decorating contests. She was also an active participant in the annual Fall Fairs in Aldergrove and served as secretary-treasurer. In fact, if there was anything going on in the community that needed an extra hand, she was always there.

The Greens eventually left the County Line area and moved to Vanderhoof in 1980 to be with their son, Harry, and his wife Jane and their four children.

Margaret passed away in January 1991 at Vanderhoof, Norm in December 2000 at Nanaimo.
