Next year, the Federated Women's Institutes of Canada will be turning 130. At one time nearly every community had a Women's Institute, but their numbers have dwindled over the past few decades. We are hoping that those of you with roots in Patricia community might recognize a mom, aunt, granny or great-grandma in this Patricia WI photo.

A look back at our Township 60 years ago, when our police force had 12 officers and they finally got their own radar set. Langley Airport was the largest pilot training field in the country and Williams Park was under construction as a Centennial project for the enjoyment of Township residents.

Who remembers the Kraft Kabin? I loved that store, and I'm pretty sure that my Mom took all of the sewing and craft classes they offered. I'm also pretty sure that she gave me several of the kids' clothing patterns she bought there, when my own kids were little.

Canada Day in Aldergrove 30 years ago, when we still had a swimming hole at Aldergrove Lake Park and the Sky Sox were the Fraser Valley Bantam AA Champions.
