In 1964, the recently-formed Royal Canadian Legion Branch #265, Aldergrove was raising money for its new building by selling Community Bonds. An investment of 10.00 would bring the bond bearer 60 cents in interest income each year, or $6.00 for the term of the bond, and the town would get a brand new Legion hall, which still serves the community today.
